Four sub-editors at Midland News Association have taken voluntary redundancy.
MNA, which publishes the Wolverhampton Express and Star, confirmed last month that a "small number" of roles would be at risk as part of an efficiency drive.
The publisher also confirmed that some subbing jobs could be transferred from Wolverhampton to Telford. But these moves will not take place.
The company said in a statement: “Following the recent discussions with staff, four sub editors have successfully applied for voluntary redundancy and will leave by the end of March. There will be no compulsory redundancies.

“Production and sub editing work will continue to be split across the two sites, Wolverhampton and Telford, to meet the business needs.
“Discussions with staff continue about various new roles and response to the reorganisation has been positive.”
Five out of MNA's 12 photographers left the company at the end of last year following a separate review.
