The Bolton News finally got its man today naming a councillor who failed to pay his council tax after fighting a three-year Freedom of Informaton battle.
Councillor Ismail Ibrahim has finally named himself after the council fought a three-year legal battle at the taxpayers' expense to keep his name secret.
He has been sacked from his role as chairman of the council’s corporate and external issues scrutiny committee.
In a statement he said: "I would like to sincerely apologise to the people of Bolton for not disclosing my name earlier."
