The Belfast Telegraph has added a new early morning edition to its online video news bulletin service. The new breakfast bulletin brings the number of daily updates to the paper’s online video news bulletin service to four.
Belfast Telegraph TV was launched in February as part of an overhaul of the Belfast Telegraph’s 10-year-old web site. The video news bulletin service is is produced by Macmillan Media, which also makes GMTV’s Northern Ireland news bulletins.
The paper has also added a live link between its newsroom and Macmillan Media.. This will allow Macmillan Media’s presenters to discuss news items with live with Telegraph reporters.
At last week’s Regional Press Awards, the Belfast Telegraph was named newspaper of the year in the category for daily and Sunday newspapers with circulations above 40,000. Deputy editor Paul Connolly, who is heads its online operations, was named digital journalist of the year,
