Archant appoints Jonathan Hustler as exective director

Regional newspaper publisher Archant has appointed publisher Jonathan Hustler to its board as executive director.

Hustler, 52, has worked for the company in various roles since 1987 and has been the managing director of the Archant Life regional magazine business since its creation in 2001, which has 53 titles.

Archant chief executive John Fry said: ‘Johnny has an excellent understanding of the changing regional media sector and has grown our revenues and profits. His strategic and operational experience will be a valuable asset to the board.”

Archant produces four daily regional newspapers, including the East Anglian Daily Times, and around 75 weekly titles with a combined circulation of 2.7 million copies every week and has a turnover of £191 million. It publishes around 80 magazines and more than 120 websites and has around 2600 staff.
