Sky News has a third former employee in Westminster as the broadcaster’s business and consumer affairs correspondent Poppy Trowbridge leaves to become a special advisor to the chancellor.
Trowbridge is said to be joining Philip Hammond’s team “shortly” after having spent the past four years at Sky.
She joined Sky in 2012 from Bloomberg News where she spent more than four years as a reporter before spending another three years as a TV correspondent covering banking and finance.
Trowbridge follows Sky News alumni Joey Jones, former deputy political editor, and Fiona Hill in making the move to Westminster.
Jones became head of communications for Theresa May when she was still Home Secretary while Hill is a special advisor to the new prime minister.
