By Dominic Ponsford

The Sun and Mail cleared their front pages in the early hours of this morning to to carry news of the Finsbury Park mosque attack.

The Sun brought out a 2.30am edition which meant news of the incident appeared in the last few hundred thousand copies of its 1.7m print run.

The attack happened at 12.20am this morning (Thursday, 8 June). A man is believed to have deliberately driven a van into worshippers leaving the mosque after Ramadan night prayers. Ten people were injured and one person died.

The Sun moved its story about TV presenter Ant McPartlin going into rehab to make space for the late breaking news.

The Daily Mail also cleared its front page for a special 2am edition.

The Times also managed to change its front page to carry news of the mosque attack.
