Sun reporter Anthony France faces two-week trial after pleading not guilty to charge of paying police officer for stories

A Sun crime reporter from Watford has denied a charge over the alleged payment of a police officer for story tips.

Anthony France, 41, appeared before the Old Bailey where he pleaded not guilty to aiding and abetting Pc Timothy Edwards to commit misconduct in a public office between 31 March 2008 and 1 July 2011.

France was bailed to attend a two-week trial at the Old Bailey on 11 May.
