Pitch to: J Wimal. j@asianwomanmag.com
Type of articles: Fashion, real life, beauty, health, celebrity, investigative pieces.
Topics: It's a magazine predominantly for Asian (South East Asian) women all over the world. However, 24 per cent of our readership are Western readers. We therefore try to strike a balance between topics that affect the Asian community and our wider audience of modern 'worldly'women.
How to pitch: Email including information about the interviews you have to support the article and images/pictures for the piece.
Post-pitch: Call after a week to give a brief run-down of pitch.
What will impress: A concise pitch and a story that has been thought through properly, considering angle and images.
What won't impress: A lengthy email.
Rate: First contribution unpaid unless an established journalist; 10p/published word thereafter. This is increased in time.
Images? Preferred. However, we supply photographers and budget and organise photoshoots to assist in getting exclusive photos.
