The Daily Express today condemns Camelot for doubling the price of National Lottery tickets to £2 and quotes a poll commissioned by the rival Health Lottery.
This survey suggests that 73 per cent of weekly National Lottery players are unhappy about the rise, the Express reports.
The survey also reportedly found that more than half of players feel ownership of Camelot by the Canadian Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is “bad for the UK”.
Strangely, there was no mention in the piece of the fact that the loss-making Health Lottery is, like the Daily Express, owned by colourful businessman Richard Desmond.
