The Mirror’s head of content Chris Bucktin has been appointed as assistant editor (US) covering both Mirror titles.
Before his role as head of content, Bucktin was showbiz editor.
The move was announced yesterday by Lloyd Embley, editor-in-chief of the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and Sunday People.
“I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Chris on this exciting new role, which has responsibilities across seven days,” Embley said.
“I'd also like to thank Chris for all he has done in the incredibly demanding role of head of content.
“Having our own man in the States again will be a tremendous asset – in print and online.”
