The Metro and The Mirror websites both doubled their online circulation over the past twelve months according to ABC figures released today.
The Mail Online is still the biggest newspaper website in the country with more than 146 million 'unique browsers' visitingnthe site last month – an increase of more than 44 per cent compared with September 2012 and a new all-time high for the site.
The Guardian also reported strong growth with more than 83 million unique browsers, up almost 30 per cent on the year.
Despite having a metered paywall the Telegraph also reported steady increases in its circulation with 63 million monthlt browsers – more than a fifth more than a year ago.
The Mirror has again benefited from The Sun’s decision to move behind a paywall as of 1 August. It attracted 31 million monthly browsers, a 97.7 per cent increase year on year.
