July national newspaper ABCs: All titles down year on year, but Times is best performing for second month running

The Times recorded the best year-on-year results of the national newspapers for the second month in a row in July, according to ABC.

The title's circulation fell of 0.41 per cent year on year to 398,603, after recording an increase of 0.66 per cent in June.

The next best performing titles were The Guardian (down 5.23 per cent to 181,181) and The Sunday Times (down 5.32 per cent to 799,845).

The Times, Sunday Times and Guardian were also the three best performing titles in May, and made up the top four with The Observer in June.

Aside from the Sunday Mail and Daily Record, the Daily Star newspapers were the worst performing, with the daily down 14.43 per cent to 466,210, and the Sunday down 13.59 per cent to 295,292.
