The Financial Times has appointed Jo Johnson as editor of its Lex business and financial column, replacing Tracy Corrigan who is joining the Daily Telegraph.
Johnson started his career writing for the column in 1997 and currently works as the FT’s South Asia bureau chief, where he has been since January 2005. Johnson will be in charge of the 12 staff who contribute to the Lex column.
Before the FT, Johnson worked in the investment banking division at Deutsche Bank and was a trainee journalist at Reuters.
FT editor Lionel Barber said: ‘I am delighted that Jo has accepted this position, editing one of journalism’s most celebrated and respected columns.”
