A former soldier who sold information to a newspaper has been conditionally cautioned, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.
He will not be charged as long as he makes a £150 payment to a charity “connected with the armed services”.
The CPS received the “misconduct in public office” allegation file in November 2013.
Gregor McGill, a senior lawyer at the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “In accepting a conditional caution an individual accepts responsibility for the offending set out.
