Fictional times: Sun sets the record straight after murderer mix-up

By Axegrinder

The Sun has made a page-two correction after wrongly accusing a man of murder. Fortunately for the paper, it was a soap opera character.

Today’s paper admits an error had been made in stating that Tina McIntyre, of Coronation Street, had been pushed from a rooftop by Ken Barlow’s son, Peter.

“In fact she was pushed by Tracy Barker’s boyfriend Rob Donovan, although Peter was arrested as the prime suspect. We are happy to set the record straight.”

It looks like the silly season is coming early this year.
