David Cameron says Daily Mail can declare its campaign against online porn a success

David Cameron has praised the Daily Mail for its campaign against easy access to online pornography as he announced plans for a search engine filters to be switched on automatically.

The newspaper today celebrates a “victory” as households will now only be able to access pornography if they ask to receive it.

Cameron said: “The Daily Mail has campaigned hard to make internet search engine filters ‘default on’. Today they can declare that campaign a success.”

The Daily Mail comment described Cameron today as a “dedicated family man” and said: “we warmly applaud Mr Cameron’s announcement”.
