Telegraph Media Group has announced the appointment of Allison Pearson as columnist and chief interviewer.
Pearson stepped down from her weekly column in the Daily Mail this week with a candid last piece talking about her struggle with depression.
She will write a regular column for The Daily Telegraph and conduct major interviews.
Pearson was at the Telegraph before joining the Mail in 2005, and was there when she won a British Press Award for interviewer of the year.
She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be coming back to the Daily Telegraph joining a fantastic team of writers and editors. It is a great privilege to return to the paper where I enjoyed some of the most fulfilling years of my professional life.”
