Women’s mag editor moves into customer publishing

By Press Gazette

Eve editor Sara Cremer has left to become editorial director of customer publisher Redwood.

Cremer, who has been editor of the Haymarket-owned women’s monthly for almost three years, replaces Juliette Warkentin who leaves Redwood in October to join Emap’s Worth Global Style Network brand.

Cremer’s move is the latest in a series of switches to customer publishing by big name consumer magazine editors in 2007. Earlier this year, former Take a Break and Mizz launch editor Lori Miles became editor-in-chief of Cedar Communications. News International relaunched the customer magazine of Sky, Skymag, with former consultant editor on Emap’s New Woman, Lysanne Currie at the helm.

Redwood’s editorial team accounts for over 60 per cent of Redwood’s 250 plus members of staff. She will work across print and digital platforms and be charged with developing editorial strategies and concepts for new business pitches, as well as holding a seat on Redwood’s management board.

Cremer previously held the roles of executive editor, new product development, at Emap Elan, and editor of Emap’s New Woman magazine. She has also worked on FHM and as deputy editor of Men’s Health.
