Niche energy publisher Global Media Publishing has promoted Aidan Turnbull to the job of managing editor.
He will oversee titles including: Worldwide Independent Power, Middle East Power, Independent Power Asia and American Independent Power.
Turnbull joined the Horsham-based company in 2009 as group editor. Turnbull has previously edited titles including: Cast Metals & Diecasting times, Military Firefighter and Local Authority Plant & Vehicles.
He said: 'I have long since become immune to the jibes of friends and colleagues that the journals I work on should appear on ‘Have I Got News For You' – because they are so eclectic and specialist.
'Certainly, these energy titles fulfil a vital role in keep industry up-to-date with both developments and innovations in ‘green' and fossil-fuel power generation."
In his new job Turnbull will also oversee the conference side of the business.
