Newsquest‘s Glasgow-based publishing company the Herald and Times Group has launched a new title called Country Lifestyle Scotland.
The magazine has an initial print run of 22,000 and a cover price f £1.95. It is edited by Karen Carruth and will also come in a free online e-edition format, with plans for an app for the iPad and iPhone within the next quarter.
The first copy of the magazine was given away for free within copies of The Scottish Farmer, with a further 3,000 copies handed out at the Royal Highland Show in Ingliston and a number of retail outlets.
Publisher Darren Bruce said: “We believe the launch of Country Lifestyle Scotland now bridges a gap in the market that covers Scotland’s beautiful countryside and rural life.
‘This is a quarterly magazine which will cover an array of associated topics from fishing to fashion and arts to antiques and will hopefully go from strength to strength following positive feedback from readers and advertisers alike on our first issue.
‘We have chosen to utilise The Scottish Farmer as a distribution vehicle to help reach an already well established captive rural audience that will continue to grow and meet the needs and demands of our readers and clients.’
