Kevin Costello has been appointed chairman of the Professional Publishers’ Association following the organisation’s annual reception in London.
Costello, who is chief executive of Haymarket Media Group, will replace Kevin Hand of Hachette for a two-year term of office.
The PPA chairman’s annual reception took place yesterday at Paramount on top of the Centre Point tower in London.
PPA chief executive Barry McIlheney, chief executive officer of the PPA said said: “Having celebrated our centenary in style last year, we are now entering an exciting new phase, and Kevin’s leadership will be invaluable in shaping the PPA for 2014 and beyond.”
Costello added: “Professional publishing is a smart and dynamic sector and the pace of change is tremendous. “
The PPA represents the interests of publications in print and online. Currently the association has in the region of 200 members producing more than 2,500 consumer and business magazines.
