Kathryn Blundell confirmed as editor of Mother & Baby

Bauer Media has appointed Kathryn Blundell as the new editor of parenting magazine Mother & Baby.

Blundell, who has been acting editor of the title for a period, replaces Miranda Levy..

Levy will remain with Bauer as a contributor to Top Santé magazine, its health and wellbeing monthly.

Kirsten Price, publisher of Bauer’s Parenting portfolio, said: “I’m delighted that Kathryn has been appointed as the new editor of Mother & Baby.

“Her knowledge and understanding of the parenting market coupled with her passion and creativity make her the perfect person for the job.”

Blundell started started her magazine career with Emap on New Woman in 2000 moving to Conde Nast to work as deputy chief sub/features editor on Brides.

Following Emap’s sale of its consumer magazines to Bauer, Blundell returned in 2008 as deputy editor on Mother & Baby. She has also worked across Pregnancy & Birth as deputy editor.

According to the most recent data from Audit Bureau of Circulations, Mother & Baby sold an average of 50,653 magazines each month in the second half of last year.
