Jackie Hatton appointed editor of Best magazine

By Press Gazette reporters

Former Woman editor Jackie Hatton has been appointed as the new editor of Best magazine.

Hatton replaces Jane Ennis at the helm of the National Magazine Company weekly.

The publisher announced in October that Ennis would leave Best to take over as editor of its celebrity weekly, Reveal.

Hatton, who was editor of Woman for more than three years, will join NatMag on 4 January.

Arnaud de Puyfontaine, chief executive of NatMag, said: “Jackie brings a wealth of experience to this role and we are delighted to welcome her to NatMag.

“Jackie’s appointment, alongside Reveal editor Jane Ennis and Real People editor Sam Taylor, further strengthens our weekly portfolio and will ensure that these titles continue to grow rapidly while also appealing to advertisers and readers alike.”

Prior to editing woman Hatton worked in a number of senior editorial roles at Woman’s Own magazine between 2003 and February 2006.

She also spent five years working as a freelance journalist for a variety of titles.
