JLifetstyle

An independent publisher has launched a new Jewish lifestyle magazine, Jlifestyle. The title is aimed at 20-40 year olds and will be launching in December.

JLifestyle is a 44-page free, full-colour glossy publication ‘aimed at the fastest growing and most vibrant Jewish communities in the UK’and will be initially distributed direct to 10,000 homes in the London area in target affluent communities, as well 2,000 to other key Jewish locations.

Publisher Leslie Bunder also runs online Jewish media company called the Something Jewish Network, which publishes websites Something Jewish and the celebrity website Jewtastic. The magazine is the company’s first move into non-online.

Bunder said: ‘Since we launched our first website five years ago we’ve thought long and hard about going into print and we think now is the time. It’s a mixture of backing from advertisers and, equally important, that people still like print publications. Web is a great medium, but there are certain things you can do with print people like.”

Issue one (December / January) of JLifestyle will be out the first week of December. Following this launch issue, JLifestyle goes monthly from February 2008.
