Mail Online surged to a new traffic record last month reaching 106m global ‘browsers’ according to ABC.
The measure of the number of different devices accessing Mail Online content was up 46 per cent year on year.
It comes as Mail Online today reported a 74 per cent increase in turnover to £38m.
Guardian.co.uk remained in second place among UK national newspaper websites with 71.8m browsers and Telegraph.co.uk was third with 57m global browsers a month.
The Independent was the second fastest growing website, behind Mail Online, with year on year growth of 29 per cent to 17.9m monthly browsers.
