Former Wall Street Journal Europe digital editor John Crowley has been named as the new editor-in-chief for the UK edition of the International Business Times.
He follows George Pitcher who was sacked from the role in November.
IBT Media managing director Dev Pragad said: "John is a world-class editor who thrives on the dynamism of the ever-changing modern media landscape. He’s a terrific shaper of stories, a great communicator and a pioneer of digital innovation. His hire represents a significant step forward in our evolution and we are thrilled to have him join us.”
Crowley said: "Like any editor, I want us to break more exclusives and get refreshing new angles on stories, but as the media landscape changes before our eyes, I also want to explore innovation and new ways to tell stories."
According to IB Times, the UK edition has a staff of 60 and a monthly reach of 20m unique visitors.
