Web portal business AOL UK today launched a new website aimed at woman called MyDaily.
The site joins existing AOL UK women’s sites including Kitchen Daily, Lemondrop and Stylist. Together AOL says its women’s sites employ 12 staff journalists and attract 800,000 unique users a month.
AOL said it wants MyDaily.co.uk to become the ‘definitive destination for successful, stylish and discerning women”.
It said in a statement today: ‘Drawing on the best in publishing standards, with bold ‘across-the-page’ high-resolution images, premium production values and sharp editorial, MyDaily delivers unrivalled content to women who want to feel as good as they look. ‘
Site editor in chief Carla Bevan said: ‘MyDaily is the definitive destination for super-stylish, quick-thinking women in the UK. Every day, we’ll be delivering inspiring, entertaining and informative features for women who care as much about today’s headlines as today’s hemlines.”
According to AOL, contributors to the site will include: Elle’s former commissioning editor Naomi Reilly, Guardian and Independent regular Laura Smith and WGSN’s Joanna McGinn.
