ITV News is appointing Daisy McAndrew as economics editor on her return from maternity leave next week.
She was previously ITV News’ chief political correspondent. Before joining ITV News, she worked on the BBC Daily Politics Show as well as hosting a daily talk show on LBC radio.
ITV News editor-in-chief David Mannion said: “The credit crunch, inflation and the rising cost of living has pushed economics to the front of the news agenda and it will remain there some time to come. Daisy is a top class journalist who will bring great credibility and authority to our coverage of the economy. I am delighted she will be taking over this highly important brief.”
