Press Gazette editor to step down

By Press Gazette

Philippa Kennedy is to step down as editor of Press Gazette in the autumn to work on other projects.

Kennedy, who has been editor for nearly four years, will remain with the company as consultant editor on a part-time basis.

She said: "It’s been a fantastic four years with the best team in the world.  But there are other things that I want to do and I need time to do them.  The way the job has grown has left very little time for anything else."

Kennedy is to host a seven-week pilot show for BBC News 24 called Media Brief, which starts in September.
