Welsh Government accused of breaking newspaper pledge

A language campaign group has written the the Welsh Assembly Government accusing of breaking its pledge to fund a Welsh-language newspaper, Wales on Sunday reported.

Last week, the Welsh Assembly Government accounced a £600,000 grant to support a Welsh-language daily.

But Dyddiol, which hopes to launch the daily Y Byd, had wanted an annual grant of between £600,000 and £1million.
