The BBC and IPC are set to go head-to-head in the weekly football magazine market, reports MediaGuardian.
The BBC is set to launch a weekly print title named after its TV show, Match of the Day on March 4.
IPC have also announced their plans to turn monthly football magazine, Shoot, into a weekly title.
Former Match editor Ian Foster will edit Match of the Day, which will target 8 – 14 year olds.
