University of Sheffield students won all three awards at last week's annual Magazine Academy competition.
Organised by the Periodicals Training Council (PTC) and the Professional Publishers Association (PPA), the university claimed the honours of New Magazine Concept, New Digital Product Concept and New Student Magazine.
Sheffield beat entrants from across the country, with all of the UK’s 19 PTC-accredited centres invited to submit entries.
The winning entry for New Student Magazine, Inside Out, will now be distributed throughout the magazine industry by the PPA, as part of the prize.
Amateur Chef magazine won the New Magazine Concept category and the Digital Citizen won the award for New Digital Product.
Gill Hudon, editor-in-chief of Reader’s Digest and chair of the PTC Editorial Training Consultants Committee, said: “Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s competition and particularly to the University of Sheffield for an outstanding achievement.”
