The Times calls for Pakistani sex abuse gangs story to have ‘disinfectant of sunlight’

By Dominic wireposts

The Times has called for an end to the “culture of silence” surrounding the “repeated pattern of sex offending” involving predominately white girls by predominately Pakistani gangs in towns and cities across northern England and the Midlands.

The Times today leads on an investigation into the matter, with four pages of further coverage inside. And in a leader, it says: “This story needs the disinfectant of sunlight.” According to The Times, the practice has been kept quiet because of a “damaging taboo” as police and child protection workers are scared of being branded racist.
