The Sun: Piers Morgan’s replacement of Larry King is a £5.5m done-deal

According to today’s Sun Piers Morgan is to replace Larry King on US rolling news channel CNN and has signed a four-year-deal worth £5.5m.

The former Daily Mirror editor has seen off competition from Americans Ryan Seacrest and Katie Couric to replace King, 76, The Sun reports.

Gordon Smart reports the news, Smart is editor of the Bizarre showbiz section which Morgan launched his stellar Fleet Street career by editing.
