The deputy mayor of Taipei City, Taiwan, is suing a magazine for libel over a report alleging that he had taken bribes from a local arms dealing firm, reports The China Post.
Next magazine accused deputy mayor Wu Hsiu-kuang of taking bribes from the “Lai Fu” company, which it claimed is the biggest arms dealing firm in Taiwan.
Wu Hsiu-kuang described the claims as “totally unfounded”.
