Sunday Sun launch prompts price cuts at rival titles

Rival newspapers are set to cut their cover prices to 50p this weekend in response to the launch of a Sunday edition of The Sun on sale at that price.

Media Week reports that The People, Sunday Mirror and Daily Star Sunday will all have targeted 50p price cuts.

All three titles have made heavy gains following the closure of the News of the World in July.
