Soldier magazine, the in-house magazine for the British army, has an openly gay soldier on the front page this month.
It is a sign of the extent to which homophobia in the army has been phased out since the ban on gays in the military was lifted nine years ago, reports The Independent.
Soldier magazine is published by the MoD and has been the army’s in-house mag since 1945. It claims a readership of over 250,000 a month.
