Sky launches ‘app academy’

By admin

BSkyB has launched a Software Engineering Academy which aims to build new apps for mobile phones and computers to make the most of content on Sky News, www.skynews.com and the broadcaster’s various TV channels.

The Evening Standard last night described it as London’s first “app academy”, opening in September in Osterley, West London, and paying “students” £30,000 a year to create new software applications for the broadcaster.
