Six more hours a day of SunTalk during the World Cup

Daily online radio show SunTalk is to extend its daily output throughout June and July to 10am-7pm to provide extra coverage of the World Cup.

The show hosted by Jon Gaunt on www.thesun.co.uk currently runs from 10am-1pm. Terry Christian and Ron Atkinson are among the new additions for the five-week run of World Cup specials.

SunTalk, the online radio station from The Sun newspaper, is to extend its output in June and July for the World Cup.

An extended schedule will run 10am-7pm weekdays for 5 weeks from Monday 7th June. There will also be a World Cup Final Special on Sunday 11th July and a full day of broadcasting on Monday 12th July.

Joining the presenter line-up for these extended hours will be broadcaster and journalist Terry Christian, football legend Ron Atkinson, The Sun’s Bizarre editor Gordon Smart and Scottish Sun columnist and author Martel Maxwell.

The Jon Gaunt Show, which currently broadcasts between10am-1 pm, will remain at its normal time.

Launched in April 2009, SunTalk has won a British Press Award for Digital Innovation and has received nominations for presenter Jon Gaunt at the 2010 Sony Awards and for producer Sam Gregory at the Radio Academy Production Awards.

SunTalk will be overseen by Content Director Jon Gaunt, Executive Producer Sam Gregory and Editor Chris Stevens.
