Two young entrepreneurs claim to have raised six-figure backing for the launch of a video magazine for men.
ChannelFlip offers ‘quirky yet informative bite-sized programmes’and targets men, with content on gadgets, games and DVDs.
The men behind the magazine are Justin Gayner – one of the team on the BBC’s Royal Television Society Award winning QI – and Wil Harris, who started his first business – computer hardware website Bit-Tech – when he was 17.
The pair said that the backing from a consortium of high-profile City financiers has allowed the title to ‘become the nation’s first magazine to publish items purely in video rather than the written word”.
