Salvation Army paper The War Cry goes tabloid

The Salvation Army’s 130-year-old broadsheet paper The War Cry has relaunched in tabloid format.

It sells 49,000 copies a week, at 20p a copy, sold by volunteer vendors.

The first tabloid edition features an interview with 2007 X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts headlined “God is My X Factor”, Media Guardian reports.
