Rupert Murdoch says FT story about Sun on Sunday was ‘100% wrong’

By admin

News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch has mocked a story that appeared in yesterday’s Financial Times reporting that plans for a Sunday edition of The Sun had been put on hold.

The report said that following the arrest of four senior Sun executives on Saturday the plan, which it claimed was known as ‘Project X”, has been delayed because of adverse publicity, and that sources had ‘downplayed’reports that a launch date of 29 April ‘had been set in stone”.

In response to the claims Murdoch Tweeted yesterday:

F.T. Financial Times or Fawlty Towers? Sun on Sunday story today 100 per cent wrong.
