Barack Obama managed to elude journalists who were due to fly with the victorious US democratic presidential candidate to Chicago earlier this week.
According to the Independent, an entourage of camera crews, bloggers and print journalists boarded the campaign plane expecting to be joined by Obama, but as it sped down the runway, they realised he was nowhere to be seen.
