CN Group newspaper the North West Evening Mail is running a blogging contest to help it find a new weekly columnist.
Inspired by Channel 4’s now defunct Big Brother show the Barrow-in-Furness newspaper has called its competition Big Blogger.
The Evening Mail has selected eight finalists from thousands of entries and will remove the least-read blogger from the competition each week until it has a winner.
The contestants include a local schoolgirl wrote writes about horse-riding and a former resident writing about living in Italy.
