Regional publisher Newsquest Media Group has seen its ABCe increase by 21 per cent to 5.16 million unique users a month.
The figure of 5,111,997 for May 2008 – a combined figure for all Newsquest’s websites – was up from 4,493,405 for May 2007.
Managing director of Newsquest Digital Media Roger Green said: “We are delighted that for the fifth time since 2005 we have published an audit which demonstrates significant growth.
“This summer’s relaunch of our network has added rich local content and compelling functionality which has increased the attraction and retention of relevant online local audiences to our local and regional media brands.”
Newsquest is the latest regional publisher to commit to six monthly audits both of its network of websites and of its 12 largest newspapers.
