News International’s magazines boss Camilla Rhodes leaves after 28 years

By Patrick

Marketing Week tells us that Camilla Rhodes has left News International as part of an on-going cost review.

She was the chief executive of the company’s News Magazines division – home of Love It! and others – but here time with NI stretches back to 1980 and was once managing director of The Sun and News World and separately of The Times and Sunday Times, two of the the biggest jobs in news publishing.

News Magazines, started by Rhodes in 2005, is being wound up by James Murdoch, an act that will see the company lost £10m in the 12 months to June 2007, according to Media Week.
