Bloomberg is reported to be looking at three potential sites for its new London headquarters, according to the Independent on Sunday. The news agency is looking to bring all of its journalists together in a single building.
Lord Rogers joins battle to save Guardian trees (Islington Tribune)
Architect Richard Rogers has joined more than 200 Guardian staff in their campaign to stop a row of trees outside the paper’s Farringdon Road headquarters in London from being axed. The trees have been earmarked for demolition when the paper moves to King’s Place this month and its old base is redeveloped.

The Los Angeles Times has shrunk its newsroom by a further 10 per cent, with the loss of 75 journalists’ jobs. The last round of redundancies was announced in July.
Indian journalist among Mumbai siege dead (CNN)
A Times of India journalist was among those killed in the Mumbai terrorist siege. According to CNN, the body of Sabina Sehgal Saikia, the paper’s consulting editor and food critic, was recovered on Saturday from the Taj hotel.
Put commercial content on BBC iPlayer, says Telegraph TV editor (PaidContent)
Telegraph TV editor Guy Ruddle has called on the BBC to open up the iPlayer to commercial rivals. Speaking at the Channel 21 Future Media conference in London, Ruddle asked: “Why the hell should we all pay for the development of the iPlayer and then only get BBC programmes? Shouln’t that be a fundamental part of the BBC’s role?”
