Bauer has said the only change going forward as it takes over Emap’s consumer magazines and radio division will be the company name.
A spokeswoman for H Bauer told the Petersborough Evening News that Bauer had invested in Emap as “a strong and successful” business.
However, after a shareholders’ meeting on Friday at which the majority voted to approve the deal, Emap chairman Alun Cathcart said that nothing could be ruled out in regards to job security.
But he said there were not any overlaps between the two companies which would rule out the need to reduce staff numbers.
