New Statesman political editor Martin Bright has ruled himself out of the running to succeed John Kampfner at the magazine, according to the Independent’s media diarist Oliver Duff.
Duff said Guardian columnist Jackie Ashley wasn’t returning calls on the subject while Mirror associate editor Kevin Maguire is said to be beyond the NS’s budget.
