As if Lord Justice Leveson’s in-tray wasn’t busy enough – former Loaded editor Martin Daubney has cast aspersions over one of the pillars of lads’ mag journalism, the FHM Sexiest Women in the World list.
Writing in The Sun, Daubney writes about his surprise at singer Tulisa being crowned sexiest woman in the world by the mag.
Then he drops a bombshell, the reverberations of which will no dealt be felt around the Royal Courts of Justice.
“Back in the late Nineties I ran FHM’s features desk and even then it was an open – if hardly surprising – secret that the 100 Sexiest vote was rigged. I wonder if things have changed now?
“Back then, the winner wasn’t neccessaryily the girl who scored the most votes, but ‘the girl FHM’s bosses think will sell most magazines next month – trouble is, she won’t get her kit off unless we bribe, sorry, honour her with a gong.”
